✅ Step 1: Enable Developer Options
- Go to Settings (gear icon on the Fire TV home screen).
- Select My Fire TV.
- Choose Developer Options.
If you don’t see Developer Options:
- Go to Settings → My Fire TV → About
- Highlight your Fire TV Stick name
- Press the Select (center) button 7 times
- You’ll see a message saying “You are now a developer”
- Go back — Developer Options will now appear.
✅ Step 2: Allow Unknown Apps for Downloader
- Open Developer Options
- Select Install Unknown Apps
- Choose Downloader
- Turn it ON
✅ Step 3: Try Installing Again
Go back to the Downloader app and reinstall the APK. It should now allow the installation.
???? Why This Happens
Fire TV blocks apps outside the Amazon Appstore by default for security reasons. You’re just granting permission to that specific app (Downloader) to install APK files.
